He has provided a variety of help, including replacement and refinishing of wood and ceramic flooring, bathroom updates, repair of damaged porches, update of cabinets, window repair and replacement, and repair of external drainage systems. Tom and his staff are skilled, pleasant to work with, and consistent in providing high quality outcomes. They’re great about communicating details and staying on schedule, and they also do fantastic work. Every job we do with them, the tile work is immaculate and you can tell they take a lot of pride in being talented craftsmen. A lot of contractors are competent tradesmen, but the guys at Newell do very detailed and intricate work. I don’t usually write reviews, but endorsing this company is a real pleasure. Great group of guys, excellent work… I’ve seen them turn average bathrooms into some of the nicest ones we’ve seen in the Frederick area. And we see a lot of them!

Tom and his crew have done multiple projects in my home: painting, windows and flooring, but the crown jewel is remodeling our kitchen. Every time we have friends over they rave at how beautiful the kitchen is. And I’m sure it has increased our homes resale value, not that I would ever want to move now! Tom is flexible in terms of scheduling and accommodating our changes along the way. He is a good communicator and easy to do business with, as are all his team. We couldn’t be happier with their work. I love my kitchen and admire it every day!

I am so happy with my kitchen and with the changes that Newell Remodeling did for us! Tom and his team designed a new, more functional layout and extended our island. We added all new cabinets with slow-close doors and drawers (No more banging doors!) We now have beautiful countertops with a coordinated backsplash and under cabinet lighting. They created a new opening into the kitchen from our dining room that has completely changed the traffic flow for the whole first floor. They added hardwoods in the kitchen and continued them into my husband’s office. It’s a much more open floor plan now. They also did some custom work on our cabinets in the family room that helped to update that area. We finally have our flat screen TV mounted above the fireplace. Great guys, excellent work!

I hired Tom Newell Remodrling to completely remodel 2 bathrooms. I could not be any happier with them. The craftsmanship was stellar and the remodelers were professional. Tom Newell was recommended by the owner of a local roofing company when I could find no one to help me after a kitchen fire. Tom was immediately at the house and has been professional, considerate and caring from the moment he agreed to help us repair and replace our kitchen cabinets, countertop, appliances, etc.. He could not have done more to assist us. We were unsure of what to do after the fire. Tom stepped in and kept the insurance company on the job, resulting in a more favorable settlement. Newell Remodeling has completed two projects for us - Kitchen and basement ( 2 rooms) remodeling. We met with Tom on each project to review our concept. For both projects he made recommendations that enhanced the outcome without adding too much to the cost. His team was professional throughout, always communicating when unexpected issues came up.
